hey all! This here is a fiend being brought into existence.

fiends come into existence through a process which "spawns" them. a fiend begins to spawn when enough mental activity and spectral residue (created by the dispersing of spectral energy, a substance consisting within all things of aspect origin) is within an area. its like the action potential of a neuron, if there isnt enough nothing happens, but the moment there is its full throttle.

the spectral residue essentially "comes to life"(though it is not sentient by any means, it is merely drawn), and begins drawing to it whatever matter is within reach. the residue takes that matter and uses it to construct a body based off of the "blue prints" of whatever DNA the mental activity came from (usually in the form of someone who has died or is dying, and can consist of multiple recipients DNA).

depending on how complete a state the DNA is, the more complete the body is made, sometimes bodies come out horribly deformed, with parts missing such as skin or bones.

with the body complete, the next stage is determined by whether or not there was a significant amount of mental activity to begin with which started the process. if there was too little, the body becomes nothing more than a lumbering husk which acts on the most primitive of survival instincts (sometimes they become absolutely brain dead).

if there was enough mental activity, spectral residue would take on the (in varied combination) perception, thoughts, personality, and memories of the recipient who the mental activity originated.

the spectral residue, which acts like a body putting on a suit, will simulate emotions, feelings, and sensations for the body, even though none of these will exist for it.
